This session gives you the opportunity to explain what has brought you here and what we can do to help you. It allows us to build rapport which is important for the therapy process. I will take some basic details, ask what you would like Hypnotherapy to help you with eg depression, stress, anxiety. Secondly, I include a description of the workings of the brain with regards to your particular issue. Finally I outline the process of hypnosis, which is a much more ordinary experience than many people think. We will decide on how to proceed, how many sessions may be required and the frequency. Solution focused hypnotherapy sessions are comprised of approximately 50% talking therapy and 50% trance/Hypnosis. We use a combination of psychotherapy and hypnotherapy techniques, based on our discussion during the Initial Consultation, to help you to achieve the long-term changes you seek.
Fears & Phobia's
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy uses an adaptation of a Neurolinguistic Programming Techniques to deal with specific fears, phobias or traumas in just 4 sessions.
Non-specific phobias like claustrophobia and agoraphobia can also be treated, these will just take slightly longer to deal with.
This single, intensive session comprises a discussion as to why you smoke, what you do and don’t like about it before I give you an understanding of how the brain works in relation to smoking. I will ask you to visualise how you see yourself as a non-smoker including the health benefits, all of which will be included within the follow up of the hypnotherapy session.
